Event Presenters

Do you have special expertise that would enhance the career of a children's writer or illustrator? Have you gotten rave reviews for presentations or workshops you've given elsewhere?

The Rocky Mountain Chapter is looking for workshop presenters and banquet speakers on a continuous basis for our annual Fall Conference and periodic events. Most sessions are 50-60 minutes, though we are also in need of marketing topics that can speak to both authors and illustrators that last 70-75 minutes.

  • Presenter Benefits:
Free attendance on the day of your presentation. If you are speaking at the Fall Conference and our budget permits, you may receive attendance for both days.
  • Your books will be sold during the conference, increasing your audience.
  • Your reputation as a valuable resource for the writing community will be enhanced
  • Networking with other professionals in children’s publishing
  • Honorarium

Submissions are accepted on a continuous basis. If you have any questions, please contact our speaker coordinator.

For more information, contact Event Speaker Coordinator Lindsay Eland.

 Outside of Colorado or Wyoming?

We have a limited budget for out-of-region speakers so you have a better chance of being invited to speak if you are already planning to be in the area.

Let us know when you are passing through - if it won’t be during our Fall Conference, we may be interested in setting up a special presentation or workshop if we have enough notice (4-6 months).

Also, presentations that are unique will work in your favor since we have a large pool of local talent we can draw from for more standard topics (writing tips, revising, character development, dialogue, plot, etc).
