We are excited to be able to offer panels of published authors and illustrators to schools, libraries, bookstores and other organizations. All authors and illustrators participating in the program are PAL (Published and Listed) members of SCBWI. This means their books or magazine pieces have been published by established publishing houses as set forth by the SCBWI international office.
Panels provide a great way to get a variety of perspectives on a topic!
Requesting a Panel for Your Institution
There are two ways to request a panel.
We Do It
Use the Request a Panel form to make your request, including selecting from a list of panel themes. Our Panel Coordinator does the rest!
You Do It
- Review the Speaker List and select the authors and/or illustrators you would like to have.
- Send the list to the Panel Coordinator, with Panel Request in the Subject Line of your email. Include any other information or requests you have.
- The Coordinator will check their availability and get back to you.
Things to Note
Institutions agree to limit the length of a panel session to one hour or less. If you wish to have a longer panel session, please contact the panel coordinator directly to discuss.
We recommend a minimum of three panelists and a maximum of five panelists.
Fees: $75 per panelist to be paid directly to each panelist on the day of the event.
For general questions about the Panel program, contact the panel coordinator.
