Becoming a Member  

 Full member or associate member - what does it mean?

SCBWI provides both full and associate membership status.

Full members are authors or illustrators who have published in the children's market.

Associate members are authors or illustrators who are on their way to being published, or interested parties such as librarians or editors.

In planning events each year, our chapter tries to offer presentations and other opportunities to serve our entire membership -- not always an easy task.

Becoming a member of SCBWI automatically makes you a member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter and puts you on both the national and regional mailing lists for newsletters and events. You do not have to apply separately for membership to RMC-SCBWI.

Not yet ready to become an SCBWI member?

We really encourage children's writers and illustrators to join SCBWI, which offers many benefits including a wonderful group of people with whom to network and become friends, reduced rates at conferences, market information, and more. However, if you are unable to join SCBWI at this time but would still like to receive information on our events, you may do so. 

Just send an e-mail to our listserv manager and you will receive group e-mails from our Co-Regional Advisors on late-breaking news, requests for submissions and announcements of special events.
